The PSP Steering Group
The Eczema Priority Setting Partnership (PSP) Steering Group guides and oversees the priority setting process. Members represent people living with eczema, parents and carers, healthcare professionals and relevant organisations. The PSP is supported by Eczema UK and follows the methodology of the James Lind Alliance.
PSP Leadership:
Dr Julia Schofield, MBE – PSP Clinical Lead
Dr Julia Schofield MBE brings extensive experience in clinical dermatology, national service transformation, and inclusive patient engagement. She worked as a Consultant Dermatologist in West Hertfordshire from 1995 to 2008 and has continued in this role in Lincolnshire since 2008. Over more than two decades, she has played a leading role in dermatology service redesign and contributed to the development and implementation of national guidance to improve care for people with skin conditions. As former Clinical Lead for Dermatology in NHS England’s Outpatient Recovery and Transformation Programme, she led the redesign of dermatology services across the country, improving access and outcomes—particularly for patients in under-served areas. She co-authored Skin Conditions in the UK: A Health Care Needs Assessment with the Centre for Evidence Based Dermatology in 2009 and helped establish a multi-professional MSc in Clinical Dermatology at the University of Hertfordshire in 2006, where she now serves as Associate Professor. Her expertise in training multi-professional teams underpins her commitment to capacity building across the NHS. Julia’s leadership is driven by a clear and longstanding vision: to develop inclusive, sustainable, patient-centred dermatology services that reduce health inequalities.
