Eczema UK is a remarkable charity with a remarkable story. Over 50 years ago, a passionate and determined group of people decided that those living with eczema deserved better and so they built something that would fight for them. That spirit of advocacy and compassion has driven everything we have done since.

For more than half a century, we have worked tirelessly to support and champion the UK eczema community. None of that has been possible without the dedication of so many: our members, donors, volunteers, trustees, patient advocates, campaigners, staff, healthcare professionals and company partners, past and present. You have shaped this charity into what it is today, and it is your commitment that will carry us forward under our new name.

Yet for all we have achieved, too many children and adults are still struggling. Eczema continues to be dismissed as a minor skin complaint - a view that bears no resemblance to the lived experience of millions in our community. We are determined to change that. We provide wide-ranging information and support to help people understand and manage their condition, we are accelerating our investment in research into the causes of eczema and new treatments, and we will continue to challenge the misconceptions that for too long have undermined the seriousness of this condition.

There is still so much to accomplish. Our new name, Eczema UK, and our refreshed brand are not simply a change of identity - they are a statement of intent. They will help us reach and connect with more of the millions of people across the UK who deserve to be heard, supported and empowered.

Our previous brand served us well for over 20 years, and we are proud of what we built under it. But this next chapter calls for something bolder. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to shaping our new brand and bringing this moment to life - our supporters, volunteers, healthcare professionals, agency partners and the talented staff who have poured such care into this work.

We are proud of our past. We are excited about our future. Thank you for being part of it.

Chief Executive, Eczema UK
