Why It Matters
We are committed to funding eczema research that is impactful, inclusive, and delivered to the highest standards. This partnership further empowers us - and our grantees - to deliver real-world research that benefits people with eczema across the UK.
Our Future Health – Affiliate Charity Partner
Eczema UK is an affiliate charity partner of Our Future Health, the UK’s largest health research programme.
Our Future Health is building a major health research resource involving millions of volunteers across the UK. By combining information provided by participants with health data, the programme aims to help researchers discover new ways to prevent, detect and treat diseases and health conditions.
As an affiliate charity partner, Eczema UK brings the perspective of people affected by eczema to this national research initiative and engages with opportunities relevant to eczema and skin health.
Our involvement helps us to:
represent the interests and experiences of people affected by eczema;
contribute eczema expertise to discussions about the development and use of the Our Future Health resource;
strengthen connections between the eczema community and the wider UK health research landscape; and
support opportunities for high-quality research that could improve understanding of eczema and ultimately lead to better prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care.
Our partnership with Our Future Health forms part of Eczema UK’s wider commitment to ensuring that eczema is represented in national health research and that the priorities of people affected by the condition help inform future research.
