Eczema UK joins Our Future Health as an affiliate charity

15th June 2026

We're excited to announce that Eczema UK has joined Our Future Health, the UK's largest health research programme, as an official affiliate charity partner.

What this means

As an affiliate charity, we'll be sharing our expertise in eczema prevention, early detection and treatment with the Our Future Health programme. We'll also have a role in shaping the programme to ensure it serves the research needs of people living with eczema.

Why it matters

Eczema affects around 8 million people in the UK: 1 in 5 children and 1 in 10 adults.

Despite how widespread it is, there is still so much we don't know: what causes eczema, why it affects people so differently, and why treatments don't work equally well for everyone. Partnerships like this one bring us closer to finding those answers.

Dr Charlene Murphy of Eczema UK said:

"Eczema UK is delighted to join the exciting Our Future Health programme, representing the millions of children and adults living with eczema in the UK. Programmes like this will help us find answers to what causes eczema, why it affects patients in different ways, and why treatments work better for some people than others."

Dr Raghib Ali, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Our Future Health, added:

"We're thrilled to welcome Eczema UK as our latest affiliate charity partner. This new partnership will help us drive forward eczema research, so people can live healthier lives."

About Our Future Health

Our Future Health is bringing together millions of people across the UK to create one of the most detailed pictures of health ever seen. By joining as an affiliate partner, Eczema UK is helping to ensure that eczema research is part of that picture. Find out more on their website.
